Entertainment Announcement for the 2018 Bloomin’ Temple Festival

Temple Parks & Recreation is pleased to announce that Selena tribute band, Bidi Bidi Banda, will perform on the CEFCO Stage at the 13th Annual Bloomin’ Temple Festival on Friday, April 27th.

Bidi Bidi Banda is Austin's first all-star Selena Tribute band. Composed of members of some of Austin's premier Latin bands, Bidi Bidi Banda is the dream of Stephanie Bergara, a native Austinite who grew up listening to Tejano radio and singing in to a hair brush while wearing her mother's red lipstick. The band's interpretation of Selena's greatest hits will have you up on your feet, belting out the lyrics and reliving the greatness of the Queen of Tejano Music.

“Selena is a musical icon and greatly missed across the world,” said Holly Leiferman, Special Events Coordinator for the Bloomin’ Temple Festival. This is our small way of being able to honor her memory and relive the magic that was Selena through her music.”

The 2018 Bloomin’ Temple Festival will be held at the new Martin Luther King, Jr. Festival Grounds located at 301 South 4th Street in downtown Temple. The festival, held Friday, April 27th and Saturday, April 28th, will feature entertainment on two musical stages featuring acts in Hip Hop, Tejano, Red Dirt, and Country Music, a Kid’s Zone, carnival, arts & crafts vendors, food and much more!

Additional artist announcements will be made in the coming days. Please visit BloominTemple.com for the latest festival news and information, vendor and volunteer opportunities, as well as purchase festival tickets. For additional information on Bidi Bidi Banda, please visit BidiBidiBanda.com
