Conflict of Interest Questionnaires

Who must file a Conflict of Interest Questionnaire?

Section 176.006 of the Local Government Code requires a person who “contracts or seeks to contract for the sale or purchase of property, goods, or services with a local government entity,” to file a completed conflict of interest questionnaire with the City Secretary. The purpose of this form is for the vendor to disclose a person’s affiliations or business relationships that might cause a conflict of interest with a local governmental entity.

Please see Chapter 176 of the Local Government Code for additional information regarding these requirements. The Conflict of Interest Questionnaire (PDF) is available on the Texas Ethics Commission web site and may be accessed through this link.

Questions regarding Conflict of Interest Questionnaires should be directed to the City Secretary’s Office, 254-298-5700.
