Secretary’s Office provides information in accordance with the Public
Information Act by responding to all Public Information Requests.
When requesting information from the City, please complete a City of Temple Public Records Request Form (PDF)
and submit to the City Secretary’s Office for review and processing.
Requests may be hand delivered, mailed, faxed or e-mailed to the City
Texas Government Code, Chapter 552, gives you the right to access government records. An officer for public information and the officer’s agent may not ask why you want them.
State law provides that a city may designate a person that is authorized to receive email or faxed requests for open records. If a city makes such a designation, the Open Records Act is only activated if the request is directed to the assigned individual.
