Public Opportunities
The Temple Police Department is committed to community outreach by a variety of means. In response to community requests for information about certain topics, the Police Department is hosting the following educational opportunities that are open to the public:

Home & Business Presentations
By appointment, the Community Oriented Police Services (C.O.P.S.) will come to your business, community meeting, or apartment complex to teach or lecture. Each seminar lasts approximately 60 to 90 minutes. Topics include:
  • Home Security
  • Identity Theft
  • Personal Safety (3 Part Series)
  • Personal Safety
  • Robbery Prevention (Business)
  • Telemarketing Fraud
  • Work Place Violence 
Youth Presentations
The C.O.P.S. Unit can also come to your school, summer camp, or daycare to teach the following:
  • Alcohol Awareness (Ages 8 and up)
  • Bicycle Safety (Ages 5-12)
  • Stranger Danger
